Renewable energy models

One of the topics and challenges included also in our project "GREEN EDUCATION IN GREEN ENVIRONMENT" in order to promote a sustainable world, is to improve our knowledge about renewable energy. In our countries, depending on: weather conditions, geographical locations, environment circumstances,... we use one type of energy or another. 

Despite the most common used at our houses, fuel, gas, petroleum,... we must to take into account that there are some other energies that are not going to be finished and are more ecological than the ones mentioned above.  These are the ones called  Renewable Energies. The most known and used is the hydroelectric power; another example we have SOLAR PANNELS to take benefit from the lot of hours we have sun light in some of our southern countries. In other countries there are WIND MILLS/ WIND GENERATORS to also produce electricity.

With our pupils we have been working on this topic and they have prepare models on their classrooms to try to explain how to use them and take advantage of their benefits. Here you are their productions:

Video summary from the 2nd short-term exchange of group of pupils in Portici (Italy)

During the days 15th to 21st of May, 17 pupils & 12 teachers met again physically in Portici / Naples (Italy) to carry on with the goals described in the project. Here we had the opportunity to develop our language skills and also meet new people, culture, traditions,food and language.

It was a great experience for students and also for teachers, an amazing opportunity never to forget.

Ice breaker for new meeting in Portici (Italy)

 This last week our selected students that are going to visit Portici (Italy) next 15th May, met before in an online connection and play together again in a kahoot game. 

This time, the topic was know a little bit more about our countries and cultural heritage, specially about Italy and Naples, the country, region anc city that is going to host us in a few days.

Again it was a nice experience and we spent a really good time together meeting each other on a virtual way. Can't wait to do it physically!!

 The first time we met together!!!

Finally, and after a lot of difficulties and troubles, a group of 16 pupils accompained by 10 of their teachers stayed one week in Lleida and Països Catalans School host the meeting. This meeting was so important that it was mentioned in the newspaper.

During this week they had the opportunitty of improving their language skills, knowing a little bit of Spanish and Catalan cultures, meeteing the park we are working with: La Mitjana, making new relationships between all of them, and despite all the restrictions and the situation it became a fantastic and amazing experience.

Cultural heritage: Invented legends

 In all our schools we have work on the original legends that already exists from our National Parks, but also we have invented new ones taking into account that they had to take place in these amazing places we work with.

Ice breaker: Playing online alltogether

Preparing the next Short-term exchange of group of pupils in Lleida, the selected pupils from all the schools and 6th grade pupils of Països Catalans have met previously in a virtal way, as an ice-breaker

They have introduced themselves through google meet and also been playing a Kahoot with questions about recycling. Congratulations to Portuguese school, the winner!!!!!!

It hasn't been a good experience, it has been GREAT!!!!
